Online auctions are great avenues for both shoppers and entrepreneurs.  They are a great way to start selling right away while your web store is under construction.  Online auctions are pretty much like giant flea markets without the exercise.  Shoppers just search for the products they are looking for and a listing of those items will appear in the results.  Shoppers can compare prices and quality of an item at a glance.  Online auctions are a great tool but we don't recommend relying on them solely for your success.  They are just an added tool to increase your web store's sales.  They are just one seed you will plant among the many seeds it takes to grow your online store. 

Online auctions will have fees.  They should also have reliability, security, help and support.  And of course, they should have a huge member base.  The more members they have the better your chances of your product being seen and sold.  In this case, bigger is better.
